A Little Focus

Lazy and abstract photography

Another prompt from ChatGPT. I wasn't too motivated to get out with pretty mediocre weather today, and I wanted to do something with the rain keeping me inside.

Take a photo of something so close that it becomes abstract or textural. The viewer shouldn’t immediately recognize what it is.

It's pretty easy to recognize it's a tile floor. I put some effort into getting the lines even but still struggled with getting them symmetric in the original.

ChatGPT's summary of its critique of the photo:

A strong attempt with great texture and depth, but it could be pushed further into abstraction by minimizing recognizable elements and enhancing contrast or distortion. If you revisit this shot, try getting even closer or playing with the angle to make it less structured.

So it sounds like the computer thinks I phoned it in today. It's not wrong.
